I finished Form Four with no funds for campus, so I had to find a way to survive. My first job? Working the counter at a bar, earning a measly **Ksh 300 a day**. And if there was a shortage, it was deducted from my already meager pay.

I quickly moved on, determined to find something better. My next gig was as a night security guard. I knew immediately this wasn’t for me; I had bigger goals than being a wage slave.

The Turning Point: Faking it vs. Making it
Like many youth, I was stuck in a cycle of faking a lifestyle on Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp statuses – all while I was **broke and broken inside.** I was utterly tired of employment.
Finally, I made the huge sacrifice. I traveled all the way from Taveta to Mombasa for that training, costing me Ksh 2,000 in transport. It was a **world-class presentation** that blew me away. I instantly regretted the lost year. “What if I had joined a year earlier?” I thought. But the timing was right, and I grabbed the opportunity immediately.
Facing the Noise: Why Focus is Key
When I got home, the opinions flooded in: “That business is evil,” “You’ve been scammed,” “You’ve joined Freemason.” Even though the Bible says, “My people perish for lack of knowledge,” these voices almost made me give up.
But I had a clear vision and unwavering focus. I chose to relocate and commit to the business full-time. My life, and more importantly, my mindset, began to transform

I often think about the friends I shared this business with two years ago who never joined. They tell me, “I wish I knew…” These were the same people who tried to pull me down. My focus was my shield.

I’m now consistently making over Ksh 11,900 weekly – that’s more than Ksh 45,000 a month! For a non-graduate, this is an incredible income, and I am immensely proud of the decision I made.
